About Amy Bodkin, EdS

Amy Bodkin, EdSHi! I’m Amy Bodkin, an Autistic adult and a School Psychologist turned Special Needs Consultant and Public Speaker. I am also a homeschool mom to two great Autistic kids!

I have an Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) with an emphasis in Neuropsychology, a Masters in Educational Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Mathematics.

Professionally, personally, and as a parent, I have a significant amount of experience with Autism and all the many processing and learning differences that can go with Autism. All of these different angles of experience give me a very unique perspective and insight into children whose experiences fall outside of the average.

My motto is that “Special Needs Kids are People Too!” and it is my goal to see each child as a person and not a diagnosis.

I offer my experience to parents in the form of Consultations and Homeschooling Resources at A Charlotte Mason Plenary, and parental support through my “Special Needs Kids are People Too!” Podcast and the Facebook group Special Needs Homeschooling the Charlotte Mason Way!

And remember, Special Needs Kids are People Too!
